What Happens When a National Capital Doesn't Use Red Lights in a Busy Intersection? Sheer Insanity (VIDEO)

Addis Ababa is the capital of Ethiopia and home to 3.385 million residents, according to a 2008 census. In the center of the city sits an intersection called Meskel Square with no red lights or painted lines on the road, making it a certifiably insane place to drive through.

Here's footage of the frenetic scene at Meskel Square, and it's astounding to think that it's like this pretty much everyday. And if driving weren't bad enough, I definitely wouldn't want to be a pedestrian.
