2. Several moments honored Charlie Kirk
Turning Point USA’s "All-American Halftime Show" featured several moments dedicated to remembering the late Kirk.
The show kicked off with a brief introduction that concluded, “This one’s for you, Charlie,” followed by an electric-guitar rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Country superstar Lee Brice performed several of his hits, including “Drinking Class” and “Hard to Love.” He also introduced a new song titled “Country Nowadays,” which he dedicated to Kirk.
“Charlie, he gave people microphones so they could say what was on their mind,” Brice said before performing the song. “This is what's on mine.”
Kid Rock sang the cover of Cody Johnson’s “’Til You Can’t” for the finale of the show. As he reached the song’s conclusion, photos of Kirk and his family appeared throughout the stage. Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and two young children.
The event featured a video compilation of Kirk’s speeches, ending with a tribute to the late conservative activist.
“In loving memory of our founder and CEO, Charlie Kirk," the tribute stated, including a quote from Isaiah 6:8, “Here I am, send me.”
