'Dark Souls 3' Season Pass Leaked: Post-Launch Content Will Bring Two Expansion Packs

It is more than a month away before the launch of the much-awaited sequel of the "Dark Souls" franchise and the game publisher has yet to announce what type of post-launch content the game will be receiving. In two recent online listings, retailers may have leaked out some details about the game's Season Pass ahead of the publisher's formal announcement.

As reported in Tech Times, a Reddit User reportedly discovered a listing of the game's Season pass in the pre-order page of the game on the Australian Xbox One store. The listing, according to the report, however did not indicate how much the season pass will be selling for, but it did mention what it will include: two DLC or expansion packs which will include new maps, enemies and bosses. It will also have new weapons and armor.

The report likened this type of post-launch content to what the previous title "Dark Souls 2" received. The same listing in the Australian Xbox One store also indicated that those who pre-order the game's digital version will also get a copy of the original "Dark Souls" game. The game will soon be joining the growing list of backwards compatible games on the Xbox One.

In another report in PC Gamer, the game's Season Pass was also listed on Steam, which also mentioned the two DLC packs that will be arriving for the game. According to the Steam listing, the Season Pass will be selling for $25 or £20, and will also be part of the "Dark Souls 3" Deluxe Edition for $85 or £60. There is no announcement yet how much each DLC will cost and how many hours of great gameplay it will add to the game.

The game is arriving ahead in Japan on March 24, for the Xbox One and PS4, and worldwide release will follow on April 12. The PC Gamer report also mentioned that they are making the game available during the PC Gamer Weekender in London from March 5 to 6.
