Floyd Mayweather Comeback News: 'Money May' Teases Return Fight Against Fellow Undefeated Fighter Danny Garcia

Retired undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his second retirement after handily defeating former two-time world champion Andre Berto in September.

With a record of 49-0 with 26 victories by knockout, "Money Mayweather" walked away from the sport of boxing after two decades of active competition. Since then, various fighters, including fellow boxers, are still calling him out.

Some of them are current undefeated knockout artist Gennady Golovkin, and boxing legends Roberto Duran and Oscar De La Hoya. Even mixed martial artists such as UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey have expressed their intent to have a crack at Mayweather.

But after five months in retirement, it looks like Floyd Jr. is having the itch to make a return for a third time. In a report by Fight Hype, the 38-year-old Mayweather teased about possibly facing undefeated WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia.

According to Mayweather, his possible fight against "Swift" could easily topple down the numbers of the upcoming middleweight title fight between WBC and Ring Magazine 160-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and former world champion Amir Khan.

The Canelo-Khan fight is scheduled to take place on May 7th at the newly constructed T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayweather also predicted that the said fight would only make around $74 million at the gate.

He then went on to call out Garcia in a civil, respective manner, noting how they share a common thing about having outspoken fathers. He said that if he chose to, he could call Garcia's father with the possibility of a match and tell him, "I'm an undefeated champion, and I think it would be great for me and your son both to make a lot of money." Mayweather adds, "And like I said before, you're very outspoken, my dad is very outspoken; it would be good for me to come back for number 50 and fight the undefeated Danny Garcia, you know, at the MGM Grand."

Mayweather first retired in 2007 after defeating British boxer Ricky Hatton via tenth round knockout.
