'Game of Thrones' Cast News, Update: Three Actors Join Season 6 As Samwell Tarly's Immediate Family Members

New casting update sees the addition of three new names that will appear as Samwell Tarly's (John Bradley-West) immediate family members in the upcoming sixth season of HBO's massive hit scripted program, "Game of Thrones."

Citing the report from GoT fan website, WatchersOnTheWall.com, it is learned that actors James Faulkner, Samantha Spiro, and Rebecca Benson, are coming over to the show and are now set to film in Spain this week.

As divulged by the website and later on confirmed by HBO, Faulkner, who is famous for his involvement with the ITV show, "Downton Abbey," will be playing as Randyll Tarly, Sam's "famously stern and martial father."

Spiro, a renowned theatre star, will take on the role as Sam's mother, while Benson, a Scottish actress, will be his sister, Talla.

The three follow the casting announcement of "Unreal" star Freddie Stroma as Dickon, Sam's brother.

Several A-list actors are also up for Season 6 including Richard E. Grant and Ian McShane in a yet to be specified screen roles. "Babadook" star Essie Davis, will meanwhile appear as a stage performer impersonating Lena Headey's Cersei. Pilou Asbaek, on the other hand, will take the part as one of the Greyjoys, and Max von Sydow will be the Three-Eyed Raven and mentor to the returning GoT character, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright).

The best friend and confidante of the purportedly departed Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) was last seen moving out from the Wall bringing along with him Gilly (Hannah Murray) and little Sam, to pursue his ambition of becoming a master.

Citing Variety.com, Emilia Clarke (who plays Queen Daenerys Targaryen) recently revealed that she, and the rest of the cast members, had already gotten the scripts for season 6.

"We actually got the next load in as well and they're really good," the "Terminator" star said.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 premieres 2016 on HBO.
