'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 3 Plot Rumors: Gorilla Grodd to Make Conflict in Vietnam War Bigger?

There are only a few days left before DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" returns to the small screen for its third season, and a new plot rumor suggests that a villain from "The Flash" is going to play a big role in a historical event as time becomes a complete mess.

It was previously confirmed that the former S.T.A.R. Labs experiment Gorilla Grodd is going to appear on the other show.

According to Bleeding Cool, Grodd is going to attempt to start World War III in one of the upcoming season's episodes. It is said to take place during the Vietnam War, where he will turn the conflict between the United States and Vietnam much bigger than it originally was.

This will all be happening on season 3 episode 7, which is titled "Welcome to the Jungle."

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim posted a photo of the script on Twitter, revealing the episode's title, which makes a reference to a Guns N' Roses song of the same title.

The image also shows a pair of dog tags and a big handprint, which is assumed to be of a gorilla's. On the other hand, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who plays Amaya Jiwe, a.k.a. Vixen, also posted a photo on her Twitter account, which showed herself and other actors in green military outfits.

This could be another hint that the reports about Grodd being linked to the Vietnam War are true.

Meanwhile, The CW has released an extended trailer for the upcoming season of "Legends of Tomorrow," and it shows how messy time has become, all thanks to the Legends. However, despite this new trouble that the team has gotten themselves into, there will still be a lot of exciting moments along the way as the Legends try to clean up the mess they have made.

DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
