Motorola Moto X (2015) Rumors, Specs: Next Moto Flagship Will Not Have Fingerprint Sensor, Will Get 'Bigger' Version

In the past weeks, there have been rumors about the next generation of Motorola's premium flagship device.

Dubbed as the Moto X (2015), following the company's pattern in recent years, the unannounced device will reportedly pack a 5.2-inch display and QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution for the first time for the flagship lineup.

In addition, there were previous rumors that the phone would support a fingerprint scanner at the back due to the opening in its chassis. Unfortunately, a recent report by Phone Arena claims that no such sensors would be included in the third-generation Moto X smartphone.

According to a report by GSM Arena on the other hand, the Lenovo-owned manufacturer will develop and launch a bigger version of the Moto X. Last year, Apple announced two versions of its world-famous iPhone, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. From then on, several manufacturers have already followed suit, including Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.

As for Motorola, the bigger Android device is rumored to come with a 5.7-inch display and will be dubbed as the Motorola Moto X (2015) Plus. In the report, both the "regular" and the "phablet" versions of the Moto X this year would get 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 810 chipset, and either a 16MP or 20MP primary camera just like what they did with the Droid Turbo for Verizon.

Of course, all these details are mere speculations, so we better take these details with a pinch of salt.
