NBA 2K17 will be officially released on September 20, Tuesday, but video game fans who pre-ordered already got their copies on September 16. If you haven't pre-ordered but can't wait to get your hands on NBA 2K17, the MyNBA 2K mobile app, which is free, is now available for download. With this app, you can scan your face for MyCareer mode.

First off, a winner. The Prelude has great production value and an excellent story line. In this free release before NBA 2K17 is released, you create a basketball player that plays one year in college basketball. The success your player has in this mode even carries out to MyCareer in the actual game.
In the Prelude, you actually get to play in the college team stadium playing against real college players. You can only select from 9 Division I teams though.
In NBA 2K17, you have to go through Draft Night without skipping through the players drafted before you. It could be a long wait for some video gamers but that gives you a taste of what players actually feel during the actual NBA Draft night.
One new interesting feature in NBA 2K17 is Dynamic Duo of MyTeam. Basically, your team's stats are boosted whenever two players play at the same time on the court. One good example of this is the Splash brothers, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
Gameplay Improvements
When it comes to gameplay, NBA 2K17's contact physics is much improved. Now, you can't just let your player slash through a crowded group in the paint without feeling friction, and this may cause your player to back pedal or get pushed around.
Steals are much better now, too, in terms of the added number of animations that depend on the circumstance.
NBA 2K17 has also taken a major leap forward when it comes to the realism of individual player's shot releases, jumper mechanics, unique celebrations and more.
Tips for Face Scanning
Ronnie of 2K Support and Brian Mazique of Forbes share the following tips when using MyNBA 2K app to scan your face for MyCareer.
First, make sure your face is evenly lit. Try not to have too many shadows on your face. Second, the phone should be leveled with your eye and about 18 inches from your face.
Third, as you slowly turn your head, stop at around a 45-degree angle from the front position. You should be looking forward while you're turning (don't always look at the phone).
Fourth, try to scan outdoors for even lighting. Fifth, the rear-facing camera is ideal for indoor scanning.
