First released last year, "Overwatch" has garnered quite the following from the gaming community. It has been awarded as one of the best games in 2016, and the fans for the game title continues to grow.

However, it seems that "Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan seems to be frustrated with the current environment of the game where players display their worst sides to their fellow gamers. Considering how the game has become such a toxic environment for others, Kaplan has released a heartfelt plea that he hopes "Overwatch" players will read.

"Very few of us actually [post on the forums] because it's extremely intimidating and/or time consuming. It's very easy to post the wrong thing and make a 'promise' to the community that no one intended to make," Kaplan said in a statement. "We're not allowed to post that here without our bosses (and I am talking literally here) receiving emails from some of you demanding we be fired. It's not exactly what I would call a safe environment for creative people to openly express their thoughts and feelings."

The statement comes just a few weeks after Kaplan revealed that they have been working hard to keep the environment safe for players by introducing bans for gamers who have earned a bad reputation in the game.

Unfortunately, it seems that the "Overwatch" developers have been subjected to the same toxic environment. Kaplan ended his statement with a plea for players to be nice and constructive about their feedback.

Furthermore, some fans also spotted that Kaplan said that there are 26 heroes in the popular game title. Considering that Doomfist is the last of the 25 characters currently available, Kaplan may have just essentially hinted that there will be another one that will be added to the playable roster.

"Overwatch" is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
