Planned Parenthood Images 'Too Graphic' for New York Times, Washington Post

The Washington Post and New York Times rejected advertising revenue last week from the American Life League that wanted to buy full-page ads revealing sexually graphic images that Planned Parenthood distributes to children as young as 10.

Both publications deemed the images in the ad as being "too graphic" and "shocking" for their adult readers even though elementary school-aged children are exposed to the same pictures at schools that use Planned Parenthood's material for their sex education programs.

The images shown in the rejected advertisements came from a Planned Parenthood-endorsed book, titled It's Perfectly Normal, and two videos, titled The G-Spot: How Pregnancy Happens, and Sextionary: Clitoral Hood that are posted on YouTube and TeenWire.com.

According to American Life League, the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life education organization in the U.S , The Washington Post rejected the advertisement because they believe it would be too graphic for their readers. The New York Times offered to run the ad, but only if ALL would agree to blur the images, and then the paper would also include a disclaimer below the ad to read: "Image too shocking for the New York Times audience."

In response to the two newspapers' reactions, ALL released a statement, saying: "If they are too graphic for adults, then they certainly should not be in elementary school classrooms."

The pro-life group also noted that the Affordable Care Act mandates every public school district in the United States to use Planned Parenthood's material for their sex education programs, which means that every student in the nation will be exposed to the images the two national newspapers rejected.

"Starting in kindergarten, funded with our tax dollars, Planned Parenthood uses graphic cartoons to saturate children with sexual imagery that encourages them to focus on sexuality, engage in sex, and accept dangerous aberrant sexual acts as perfectly normal," said Judie Brown, president and cofounder of ALL. "Parents' tax dollars are being used to turn their own children into Planned Parenthood's future sex customers."

Brown continued: "Why is the Obama administration funneling $350 million to push this filth into classrooms while at the same time telling us we don't have money for White House tours, TSA agents, or border security?"

According to ALL, Planned Parenthood's model is to "make sex addicts" out of children and teenagers under the guise of teaching "sex education" in an effort to establish future clients for their abortion business. ALL describes it as being a cycle of dependency established by Planned Parenthood, which teaches children to have sex, then to go to a clinic for birth control or to treat STDs, and finally have an abortion when pregnancy occurs.

President Obama vowed his continued support for the organization during his speech at the annual Planned Parenthood conference last Friday in Washington, D.C. He told supporters that as long as he's in the White House, the organization will continue to receive money from the federal government. "You've got a president who's going to be right here with you, fighting every step of the way."

Despite the president's promise to continue federal funding for Planned Parenthood, some members of Congress are working to pass the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (H.R. 61), a bill that, if passed, would stop the HHS from giving taxpayers' dollars to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers under Title X funding.

Likewise, ALL is promoting its own grassroots campaign asking Americans to petition Congress to cut all federal funding to Planned Parenthood.

"Planned Parenthood is not in the health care business, it is in the sex industry," Brown said. "More than half of its $1 billion budget comes from tax dollars, and the organization stands to gain another billion dollars through Obamacare. It must end."

The Christian Post contacted Planned Parenthood for comment but did not receive a response at time of publication.
