Ronda Rousey Latest News: 'Rowdy' wants to 'disappear' for a while after UFC 193

UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey is looking forward to a brief break after UFC 193.

"Rowdy" (12-0, with 12 victories by stoppage) will be defending her title against former boxing world champion Holly Holm (9-0, six victories by stoppage) for the eighth consecutive time. It also marks her third title fight in a span of nine months.

Which is why the 28-year old fighter and Olympic judoka is already planning to take a short hiatus after this weekend. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Rousey explains her reason why she wants to "disappear" for a bit.

"I'm selling a product and I have to be out there; I don't have the option not to be," Rousey says. "But after this fight, I'm definitely going to let some people miss me, for sure. Believe me, there's nothing I would like to do more than disappear for a while."

Apart from fighting, Rousey has been busy building up her brand, through appearances on talk shows, magazines, and even Hollywood films. She had already been in movies such as Entourage, the Expendables, and Fast and Furious, where she worked alongside the industry's A-Listers such as Sylvester Stallone, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, just to name a few.

Rousey added that she intends to put fighting aside for a short while, but still keep herself busy.

"I would like to wait until UFC 200 to fight again," she continued. "I'm going to be filming [movies] in the meantime, so I'm still going to be keeping busy. When I'm filming it's kind of weird, I'm on camera the whole time, but nothing really goes out until a year or two later. It is kind of like disappearing in a way."

UFC 193 will be co-headlined by another female fight: a strawweight showdown between champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk, who defends her title for the second time against Valerie Létourneau.
