Second Annual National Media Prayer Breakfast Offers Spiritual Support for Hollywood

The 2nd Annual National Media Prayer Breakfast (NMPB) is expected to gather over 1,000 celebrities, top producers, directors and decision-makers in directing prayer to media’s 700 most powerful people.

The most influential media professionals in Hollywood will be receiving a wealth of spiritual support next month at the 2nd Annual National Media Prayer Breakfast (NMPB), to be held in Los Angeles, Calif.

Sponsored by Christian consulting firm Mastermedia International in alliance with the Hollywood Prayer Network, the event on Friday, Nov. 4, is expected to gather over 1,000 celebrities, top producers, directors and decision-makers in directing prayer to media’s 700 most powerful people.

Larry Poland, founder of NMPB and CEO of Mastermedia International, sees supportive prayer as a positive alternative to what he calls anger strategies such as boycotts and protests directed at the entertainment community in the past, according to a press release.

“The message to Hollywood’s elite is that there are millions of Christians who care enough about them to pray for them – not boycott, protest or bash them,” says Poland. “We want to send media leaders the positive message of God’s love.”

An event open to the public, the morning of breakfast and prayer, which will last from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., will be held in the ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza at 2025 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, Calif. 900067 in alliance with the Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN).

Notable attendees scheduled to appear include actor John Schneider, singer and Broadway star Debby Boone, producer Ralph Winter, international radio host Rick Dees, and gospel superstar Kirk Franklin, who will provide music for the NMPB along with the Hollywood Mass Choir.

“Last year’s breakfast was history-making,” says HPN director Karen Covell. “We were thrilled that 600 people joined the effort to call America and the world to pray for those who influence the values and cultures of our planet. They need our prayer and support and God’s guidance.”
