Also known as the "Its Beautiful" ad, Coca Cola first ran this ad paying homage to American diversity during Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014.

Then as now, the commercial garnered controversy as many conservative social commentators took issue with the American patriotic song being sung in non-English languages.

Others have expressed their discontent on social media, with many taking issue with items including the positive portrayal of Islam or the quick nod to same-sex relationships.

"The hashtag #BoycottCoke took off virtually immediately, with hundreds of messages rolling in before the commercial had even ended," bemoaned one column on SB Nation posted Sunday.
