'Survivor' 2014 Season 29: Full Cast Revealed, Gameplay Getting Tougher
Summer is close to its end and the brand new season for CBS hit competitive reality TV series "Survivor" is already around the corner. Fans are already wondering what Season 29's Blood vs Water has to offer and who will be the castaways. Here's what we've heard from the people in the know.
Similar to the previous season, "Survivor: San Juan del Sur – Blood vs. Water" will feature nine pairs of loved ones with relationships that include siblings, parent-child, and married or dating partners. They will be divided into teams to compete against their own family members or loved ones for the million-dollar pot prize. Location will be in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
According to Entertainment Weekly, there were supposed to be 10 pairs but a same-gender couple had dropped out before the game began for medical issues.
"We lost a pair of women, so the way it works out is there are more men than women. That's just the game. We don't like it that way but that's the way it's going to start," host Jeff Probst said.
"Nothing's going to be easy this season, but I really do believe that the game play is ratcheting it up so we have to ratchet up with it, so we're trying to complicate it as much as we can," the 52-year-old Emmy Award winning host added.
In addition to the already disclosed "Amazing Race" and "Amazing Race: All Stars" alums Nadiya and Natalie Anderson, the show will also see the participation of the 39-year-old retired Braves pitcher John Rocher, who will be accompanied by his girlfriend Julie McGee.
The rest of new cast of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur – Blood vs Water" are the following:
- Keith Nale & Wes Nale (Father & Son)
- Josh Canfield & Reed Kelly (Dating)
- Missy Payne & Baylor Wilson (Mother & Daughter)
- Jeremy Collins & Val Collins (Married)
- Jon Misch & Jaclyn Schultz (College Sweethearts)
- Dale Wentworth & Kelley Wentworth (Father & Daughter)

"Survivor: San Juan del Sur – Blood vs Water" will premiere on Sept. 24, 2014.
