Teachers facing backlash, termination for mocking Charlie Kirk's murder

Robby Starbuck, a conservative activist known for spearheading boycotts against major corporations for their embrace of diversity, equity and inclusion as well as other progressive ideology, shared a screenshot of a social media post from University of Tennessee, Knoxville Professor Tamar Sharinian in an X post published Sunday. “The world is better off without him in it,” Sharinian wrote in response to a Facebook post from another user explaining why they unfriended people who posted messages mourning Kirk.
Sharinian took issue with “those who are claiming to be sad for his wife and kids” because “his kids are better off living in a world without a disgusting psychopath like him and his wife, well, she’s a sick f*** for marrying him so I [don’t] care about her feelings.” The University of Tennessee, Knoxville published a statement on Facebook Monday, announcing that “The university has taken swift action against a faculty member who has failed to meet our expectations for civil engagement.”
“Her actions endorsing violence and murder do not represent the university or our values,” the statement added. “The faculty member is out of the classroom, placed on administrative leave, and termination proceedings have begun.”
