5. Theologically conservative denominations that allow women to serve as pastors

After messengers at the Southern Baptist Convention's Annual Meeting voted not to waiver on its doctrinal opposition to women serving pastors and disfellowshipped two churches for defying its teaching on the matter, The Christian Post listed a few of the theologically conservative denominations that allow women to serve as pastors.

Assemblies of God USA, the largest Pentecostal denomination in the U.S., has been ordaining women to ministry since its launch more than 100 years ago.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance decided to allow female pastors earlier this year, while the Presbyterian breakaway group ECO embraced allowing women in leadership roles shortly after its 2012 founding. The Evangelical Presbyterian Church also will enable congregations to ordain women as ministers as it has dating back to its earliest days in the 1980s. One of the newest denominations worldwide, the Global Methodist Church, allows women to serve “at all levels” of leadership.
