2. Trump tells NRB about his administration’s efforts against anti-Christian bias

On Tuesday night, Trump delivered a video address to the National Religious Broadcasters convention, the largest Christian media event worldwide that drew over 6,000 people to Nashville, Tennessee.

The president thanked the NRB and Christian communicators for their efforts to inspire millions to embrace the Christian faith and highlighted his administration’s support for Christian conservatives.

“Under this administration, we are once again defending their rights and restoring our historic identity as a nation under God,” he said.

The president cited his efforts to scale back enforcement of the Johnson Amendment, which seeks to prohibit churches and pastors from making political statements from the pulpit or endorsing political candidates, as well as the Trump administration’s task force to combat anti-Christian bias, as examples of his efforts to preserve the Judeo-Christian heritage of the U.S.
