After months of an endless stream of rumors, leaks and alleged specs lists, the ZTE Nubia Z9 has finally been unveiled to the delight of Android fans in China.

According to a report by GSM Arena, ZTE held its press event in Beijing on Wednesday to finally bring its latest flagship to the market.

Just like mentioned in the numerous rumors that have leaked, the Nubia Z9 comes with a seemingly bezel-less display. There are in fact side bezels in the handset, but they are too thin (0.8mm) to be noticeable.

Another cool feature that adds to the effect of an edge-to-edge screen is optics technology that enables the extremely thin bezels to reflect what the screen displays below.

However, in the report, the almost non-existent bezels do not only function as aesthetics, but also enable gesture controls. Some of the gestures showed include taking selfies using just one hand, and taking a picture without touching any shutter or button.

As far as specs go, the three versions look identical save for the variations in RAM and internal storage. The Classic version boasts 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built in memory, the Elite edition has an improved 4GB of RAM, while the Exclusive version comes with the RAM increase and 64GB of storage.

In the report the ZTE Nubia Z9 also has fingerprint sensors in some areas of the handset, although the technology is only available in the Exclusive edition.

Rounding up the specs is a 16MP primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), an 8MP Sony-made sensor, a Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 2,900mAh battery, and a 5.2-inch 2.5D display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution.
