Virginia teacher fired for refusing to use trans pronouns with student

Peter Vlaming, a French teacher at West Point High School in Virginia was fired from his job after he declined to use the preferred pronouns of one of his students. Vlaming, a Christian, cited his faith as one of the reasons for why he could not say the things that was asked of him.

“I won't use male pronouns with a female student that now identifies as a male though I did agree to use the new masculine name but avoid female pronouns,” he stated at the time.
