Eminem Too Busy for a next Album in 2016?

It has been quiet on the Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers, forefront for some time now, fans of the Grammy-Award winner can attest, with only rumors and speculations to go on in the last few years since the iconic rapper's last album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," came out in 2013 (and won the Best Rap Album award in the 2015 Grammy Awards). A tight schedule owing to several projects and tours have been pointed out as the reasons for the delay of the much-rumored ninth studio album release, said to be coming out this year. This new album is reported to be a collaboration with the rapper, 50 Cent.

There has been no official announcement or confirmation of a ninth album or even of a 2016 release. But if rumors prove to be true, this collaboration with 50 Cent will not be their first. These two rappers have worked together before under Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment, with 50 Cent even producing Eminem's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" album. They have also produced hit songs including "Never Enough" and "You Don't Know" from their collaborations.

In the surrounding quiet, though, the 15-time Grammy winner has found various involvements in projects as the AQUAhydrate charity; his mobile music game, "Shady Wars," which, by the way, has been a lot on his Twitter posts lately; and the writing of music for the reported series "Motor City."

Last month, though, this icon of sound for his generation went on his not-so-quiet Lollapalooza run in South America---Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. A first edition of Lollapalooza Colombia is also said to be in the works for October 2016.

In the ensuing wait for Eminem's next album, it would do well to keep in mind that art can never be hurried. And the rapper's music is exactly that, judging by the fold waiting for word by the sidelines. By now, too, long-time fans will agree that this musical genius has the habit of being indefinitely off the tracks and then getting back on with a smashing comeback.
