Every Phone Specs: Thinnest Windows 10 Phone To Date
While Android phones dominate the smartphone market, limited options are available for consumers who prefer Windows OS phones. For consumers in Japan however, their options have gotten better with the release of Every Phone by Japanese electronics retailer Yamada Denki. According to a Tech Times report, the phone is touted to be the thinnest phone that runs on the new Windows 10 Mobile OS.
Yamada Denki hopes that the phone's OS will be one of its main selling points, as more and more consumers want to experience the new Windows 10 OS. The phone's measurements, especially its thinness, will likely be another selling point. Prior to the release of Every Phone, the Nokia Lumia 830 was the thinnest Windows phone at only 8.5 mm or 0.33 inches thick. The Every Phone, however, trumps the Lumia at 6.9 mm or 0.27 inches thick.
Compared to the iPhone 6S, the Every Phone is also thinner than the iPhone's 7.1 mm or 0.28 inch thickness.
According to Gadgets 360, the phone has modest specs and can be considered a mid-range smartphone. Its screen is 5.5 inches touchscreen with a 720 by 1,280 pixel resolution. Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and paired with 2 GB of RAM.
Internal storage is available at 32 GB, which is expandable to up to 64 GB only via a microSD slot. Camera-wise, the device has a 13 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel secondary or selfie camera.
As mentioned, the device will run on Windows 10 Mobile. It will be powered by a 2,600 mAh battery that will be nonremovable.
Every Phone will only have single SIM support through a micro-SIM. The phone will be have the following sensors: ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope. Options for connectivity will be Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth and GPS.
The phone is available in Japan for JPY 39,800 or around $324.
