'Fargo' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers: Hanzee Kills Dodd, Blumquists Lose Bargaining Chip With Mike Milligan
Only two episodes to go and the current season of the black comedy, crime anthology series "Fargo" will come to an end. Judging by the action that has happened in the past episodes, the season is expected to come to an explosive end. According to a spoiler report in International Business Times, the next episode titled "The Castle" will have the Blumquists (Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons) continuing their meeting with Mike Milligan (Bokeem Woodbine) under orders from Sheriff Larsson (Ted Danson) and State Trooper Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson).
The report cites the official but very brief synopsis of the episode which reads: "Peggy and Ed follow their plan at the Motor Motel; Lou faces jurisdictional politics; and Hanzee reports to the Gerhardts."
In the previous episode, the Blumquists are once again in the hands of the law after Larsson and Solverson stormed the cabin they were hiding out in and holding Dodd hostage. The police's arrival was timely as well, as they have been tracked down by Hanzee (Zahn McClarnon). Their fate in his hands was not known. Before the authorities arrived, Hanzee had surprisingly shot Dodd in the head and asked Peggy for a "professional" haircut.
According to the spoiler report, Peggy and Ed will push through with their meeting with Mike Milligan, likely after persuasion from the police. Milligan has yet to get wind of Dodd's death so the meeting will likely be a trap for Milligan and the surviving Kitchen twin. In the meantime, it will be interesting how Peggy, who seems hell-bent on "actualizing," will take this arrangement. Finding another way out of their predicament can still be possible in the next two episodes.
Hanzee, on the other hand, will make the call to the Gerhardts, saying that he has found Dodd. Obviously, he does not reveal that Dodd is already dead by his own hands. Although his next move is difficult to predict, one of his statements after he asked Peggy for a haircut was that he was "tired of this life" indicates the likelihood that he may turn against the Gerhardts in the end.
"Fargo" airs every Monday at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
