'Final Fantasy XV' News: Upcoming Game Is 'Playable From Start To Finish'
Fans of "Final Fantasy" have long been waiting for news about the series' next installment, "Final Fantasy XV," so the recent piece of news from Square Enix who says that the game is already out of pre-beta and is playable from start to finish is a welcome one. According to a report in IGN, one of the game's programmers shared this recent development via the game's forums and translated via Gematsu.
According to Satoshi Kitade, the game has reached two major milestones – one is that the game is playable from start to finish and the second is that half of the game is already finished. He said in his post, "We're at the point where we can play the game in its entirety from start to finish. From this, everyone on the development team can get an overall view on the game." He also added, "The first half of the game is finished with the quality of a final product, and you get the sense you're playing it in its final form."
Now that the game has reached this stage, the development team will now focus on reviewing gameplay and making sure that all of the game's elements are "polished."
The upcoming action-adventure role playing game has long been in development as it was first announced in 2006. In an earlier report, Square Enix had unveiled the story details of the game during the Tokyo Game Show and the story is said to center on main characters King Regis and Luna. The game is also said to include Moogles, which are the famous winged creatures found in the "Final Fantasy" series. The game's characters are also shown to be wearing black costumes that have special battle effects, according to the report.
After ten years in development, the game is finally seeing its final stage in development. It is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016. Publisher and developer Square Enix is planning a special event sometime in March 2016 where they will reveal the release date of the game.
