'Fixer Upper' Spoilers: Joanna Gaines Teases Fifth and Final Season

Reality stars Joanna and Chip Gaines have officially wrapped up filming for the fifth and final season of "Fixer Upper." The couple shared a behind-the-scenes look into their final day of shooting.

Joanna shared a photo of her and her husband on Instagram, walking towards the reveal of their final project for the reality series. She wrote, "Today was the final reveal... We definitely felt the emotion behind each of those steps leading up to the big canvas. "We love you Fixer Upper."

With a hashtag, Joanna teased that they have saved the best for last.

A video also posted on Joanna's Instagram account reveals how their crew congratulated them for five seasons of work. They surprised the main stars with balloons and confetti as they started pulling up to their office for their last day of filming.

The husband-and-wife announced back in September through a blog post that they have decided to end "Fixer Upper" with season 5. While many alleged it was due to their failing marriage, the couple clarified that the reason behind their decision was mainly family.

"We wanted to take a step back and focus on the thing that is absolutely the most important things to us in the world which is Jo and I's relationship," Chip previously said in an episode of "Today" which aired last month. "We're as healthy as we've ever been but I just didn't want to keep pushing this envelope to the fullest extent."

The Gaineses stated that they are looking forward to laying low, having time to relax with their children. They are excited about what is to come but they admit that they are also sad that this part of their lives is ending.

Despite their announcement, reports about contractual issues surfaced, which allegedly caused the show's cancellation. Magnolia Market director Brock Murphy was quick to shoot down these rumors, clarifying that the show's coming to an end was solely the Gaineses' decision.

"Fixer Upper" season 5 is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 21 on HGTV.
