'General Hospital' Spoilers: Michelle Stafford New Baby Boy from Surrogate Finally Arrives

Fans of the longtime soap "General Hospital" may notice that one of the stars is missing in action for a couple of weeks now, and that star is Michelle Stafford, who portrays Nina Clay. The reason for this should cause no further alarm as the actress took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her new baby boy.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Stafford's son, named James Jones Lee Stafford, was introduced to fans in a photo that showed Natalia, her five-year-old daughter, holding the baby wrapped in a seemingly blue fleece, with the caption "The Veg and James Jones Lee Stafford…" A series of three heart emoticons followed the statement. Stafford's followers on social media shared this excitement for the new addition in their family. This exciting chapter in Stafford's life, however, did not come easy, as the "General Hospital" star faced a high level of scrutiny for choosing a surrogate to carry both her children. Her decision was questioned during her announcement of Baby James back in July. After numerous intruding questions from reporters, she remained vigilant toward the privacy of her surrogate process.

Stafford gained a wider fanbase when she had appeared in the longtime-running drama "The Young and the Restless." Whether her choice to get a surrogate was to keep her career going is a private matter and the star feels no need to explain her life to everyone. So far, she has received a lot of support and good wishes for this big moment in her life.

It is also epected that although Stafford did not give birth personally to her new baby, she will be taking the necessary time off to devote the needed proper care and affection that the baby needs. As of now, Stafford has no main plotlines revolving around her in "General Hospital" and so her absence may be manageable for writers in the upcoming weeks.
