'Halo 5: Guardians' Announces World Championships With Finals On March 2016

343 Industries, the game developer of "Halo 5: Guardians," and publisher Microsoft have announced 'The World Championships' for Halo players, with qualifying matches to start at the end of November or on December itself and the finals are set to take place in March 2016.

Both 343 Industries and Microsoft have given "Halo 5: Guardians" a successful launch. No major technical or gameplay-related problems have been reported and the team is ready to launch initiatives like the 'World Championships' which will keep players of "Halo" hooked for the next four months.

According to Halo's official site, www.halowaypoint.com, the World Championships is a way to enhance the multiplayer system. "Arena is our pure competitive experience in Halo 5, celebrating the legacy of Halo multiplayer. Arena allows players to go head-to-head in a game of skill where everyone starts on a level playing field."

To enter the competition, a level playing field has been offered and every player begins with the "same weapons and abilities" and fights for the power weapons and power-ups by maintaining control of the Arena all through the match.

The Qualifying matches start at the end of November or on December itself and competitions will be held all over the world. This will be the biggest competition in the history of the "Halo" franchise.

Players can go on the official site of 343 Industries to get a heads up as to what is expected of them. All the teams will be taken in for the qualifying matches and the 16 best teams will be selected out of this round.

These 16 teams will go on to the finals.

The 16 teams that will take part in the "Halo 5: Guardians" World Championships finals are comprised of the best eight teams from North America, four from a 'unified region' that combines Europe, Middle East, and Africa, two teams from Australia and New Zealand, and one team each from Asia and Latin America.

The prize pool includes the money from the players who buy the REQ packs for the multiplayer mode. At the moment, the prize pool has reached 1.5 million dollars, which would be about 1.3 million Euros.

Microsoft and 343 Industries are hopeful that the final prize pool will be much more so as to keep the World Championship exciting in the months to come.
