iPhone 7 Rumored CAD Image of Apple's Next Flagship Smartphone Surfaces

Even though the next flagship smartphone, iPhone 7, is said to be coming out in the fall of this year, not much is confirmed about the specifications and features of the phone or its appearance. Rumored photograph leaks have also come out. Most of what is known is unconfirmed rumor, although, depending on the source of information, one can decide whether to take the revelations with a grain of salt.

A more dependable source of all things Apple or Mac has picked up on an image of the rear casing of the upcoming iPhone 7 which was captured by Nowehereelse. The image, which is said to be found on the unit's box, indicates that the appearance of the iPhone 7 will be closer to the iPhone 6 series, with rounded edges using metal material and more or less the same size, but thinner.

A Nowhereelse CAD image reflects the larger lens size for the camera, giving the idea that the iSight sensor may be made larger too. The image also sports twin-lens camera underneath an oval lid echoing that of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus.

The storage capacity is said to be higher than that of the latter, however, at 256 GB. The photo also suggests a more probable smart connector rather than a headphone jack, which may not be accommodated on the slimmer-than-iPhone-6 smartphone which the new series is said to be. The speaker may still be monoaural.

Two sensors have been mentioned as an addition on the upcoming flagship, although for what purpose has not been clear. It is possible that these may be for Apple's True Tone display technology taken from the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which is known to rely on a pair of sensors that automatically adjust colors based on ambient light.

It is highly probable that the launching for the iPhone 7 will be in September with a price tag starting at $649, around the same level as iPhone 6s.
