'Rock Band 4' Has Updates To Smoothly Port To Next-Gen Consoles, Adds 3 New 70s Tracks

Game developer Harmonix of "Rock Band 4" has confirmed that it will be releasing updates to pave a smooth way for porting contents from "Rock Band's" previous versions to the next-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Harmonix has also released 3 new tracks from the 70s.

Players faced lot of problems in this regard as the whole process of porting the content was time-consuming and laborious. The players had to first look for the individual songs from their previously downloaded "Rock Band" content. Then it had to be ported to the new game and that also consumed some time.

With this update, Harmonix has made the process easy. They have generated 'Bundles' for "Rock Band 4" players on the Xbox One console. The players just have to search for the 'Bundle" name and download it directly into their hardware, thus eliminating the cumbersome process of downloading each individual track.

This update will also help players in placing their custom characters as stand-ins across all game modes. The update will also lend support for 5.1 surround sound crowd audio as well as continuous PlayStation 4 streaming.

But fans of "Rock Band 4" will have to patient as two problems persist. According to a report from Shack News, the search feature has some 'pricing' issues as some previously purchased bundles show up as unpurchased on the Xbox Store. To deal with this problem, Harmonix has told players to exit the screen temporarily as the two companies - Harmonix and Microsoft - are still trying to fix the problem.

In the meantime, some PlayStation 4 players are facing the "No Content Found" issue. To solve this problem, Harmonix has advised players to press the PS button twice in order to refresh the My Downloads screen. Those players who cannot gain access to their in-game tracks will have to install the "My Add-Ons" properly and refresh the screen again.

Harmonix has also released three tracks of the 1970s era and these are available for $1.99 each.
• The Hollies – Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) – 1972
• Iggy Pop – Lust For Life – 1977
• Robert Palmer – Bad Case Of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor) – 1979

For further details on the patch to fix the problems, players are advised to go to the Harmonix site.
