'Supergirl' Season 1 News, Spoilers: More Crossovers With Green Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow

The much-anticipated "Supergirl"/"The Flash" crossover finally aired on Monday, March 28, leaving fans with some major cliffhangers and a hankering for more superhero team-ups.

"Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about what's ahead for Kara Zor-El/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and whether or not DC Comics fans could see other DC superheroes interacting with Supergirl in the future.

"The repercussions from this episode are that she got the city back on her side and she obviously took a fledgling step with James [Mehcad Brooks]," Kreisberg told THR and other reporters during a recent screening of "Worlds Finest," the crossover episode. "Those two events play heavily in the last two episodes."

The "Supergirl" boss also disclosed that the superheroine will soon receive help from some unlikely sources. "She has a couple of surprising players that you wouldn't expect to be the two people who are completely unaffected by Myriad," Kreisberg told E! News.

In addition, the "Supergirl" showrunner also said that the next few episodes of "Supergirl" will reportedly offer some "very cogent arguments on the bad guys' side" in favor of Myriad.

Meanwhile, with the "Supergirl"/"The Flash" crossover episode having pleased so many fans, is it possible that another crossover involving more DC characters could materialize in the future?

According to Kreisberg and executive producer Greg Berlanti, the idea that Supergirl would appear onscreen with The Flash has always been in their minds, even as they were casting Benoist. "… Someday, maybe in the best of all worlds with Stephen Amell as well … it's exciting to think of them on screen together," Berlanti said.

They may even be joined by the Legends of Tomorrow. "The Waverider can do anything," Kreisberg teased.

"Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. "The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
