UEFA Euro 2016 France vs Switzerland: Swiss Players Hoping to Take Revenge for Past Loss; Kickoff, TV Info, Live Stream and Tickets

France Has Advanced to the Next Round, Switzerland Hoping to Secure a Win or a Draw to Move Forward

It's all about revenge for the Switzerland football team, which will go against host country France in the group stage of UEFA Euro 2016 on Sunday. The Swiss players will try to snatch a win this time after losing to France in 2014 in a 5-2 standing during the World Cup in Brazil. Switzerland has also not been able to bag a win versus the French since 1992.

Aiming for the Knock-Out Rounds

Team coach Vladimir Petkovic mentioned in the same report that he will not be making any changes in the player line-up since he is aiming to advance to the next round of the tournament.

"We'll try to achieve the maximum here and now. We're not through to the knock-out rounds so we'll play with the best team possible," the coach added.

Switzerland is aiming to score a point during Sunday's game to secure the Top 2 spot for Group A and move on to Euro 2016's next round. The team needs to achieve this even without midfielder Valon Behrami who will not play because of a knee injury. Swiss forward Haris Seferovic may also miss Sunday's match but will be replaced by Breel Embolo.

Though going against one of the favorite teams in the tournament, Petkovic is positive that they can show France they are as powerful during the game. Switzerland won their first game versus Albania and had a 1-1 draw with Romania. The Swiss team is currently second before they meet France at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille.

Draw or Win for France Means Group A Victory

On the other hand, France is already through to the quarterfinals and they will only be fighting for a win or a draw to be the Group A winner. Team manager Didier Deschamps is expected to make some changes in the lineup of France like the omission of Olivier Giroud and N'Golo Kante who have been given yellow cards in their previous games.

French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris told Eurosport that the team anticipates the Swiss players to perform well during the match. He added that the players from the other team are talented and would not allow France to simply take a win.

The game begins at 8 p.m. and will be aired via BBC One with a live streaming available through this link. Tickets for the game are sold for $37 to $250.
