3. Trump admin. claims self-defense, says agent who fired gun was dragged by another vehicle in June

Trump administration officials have argued that the shooting was an act of self-defense, with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem claiming that Good was aiding local agitators trying to block ICE agents in that stretch of road.
Noem said at a press conference that Good had been “stalking and impeding their work all throughout the day,” refused commands to leave her vehicle and then “attempted to run a law enforcement officer over.”
According to Noem, the officer in question was indeed hit by the vehicle and later treated at a local hospital. The unnamed agent had reportedly been a victim of an incident in June, when a different driver attacked him with their vehicle and dragged him.
President Donald Trump claimed in a post to his Truth Social platform that Good was “obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense.”
Trump alleged that “the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis.”
