Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4, KitKat Update Now Available for AT&T

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4, KitKat update is now rolling out to AT&T users.

This update comes just weeks after it arrived on other major U.S. carriers such as Sprint, U.S. Cellular and T-Mobile.

Changes made to the device include an improved user interface, a new default messaging app, enhanced music access, camera access, location menu, wireless printing and new sound controls.

The update is now rolling out OTA. It can also be accessed manually for those who do not receive a notification. It weighs in at 541.7MB so make sure you're are connected to a Wi-Fi network before downloading and installing.

The Galaxy Note 3 was released towards the end of 2013 and is one of the finest handsets to ever be released by Samsung. The device packs impressive specs including a revamped version of the S Pen, 1080p display and a leather-like plastic backing that gives it a classier look.

The Android 4.4.2, KitKat update for the HTC One Mini is also rolling out for AT&T users.

It features Sense 5.5. The recently introduced Sense 6.0 will not reach the mini model until the summer of this year.

Changes made to the software include improved user interface, a phone dialer app, more advanced Caller ID, a new version of the HTC BlinkFeed app, new copy and paste options, new e-mail interface, camera access from the lock screen, music control from the lock screen, immersive viewing and a new clock interface.

This will be a staged roll out so it could take a few days to reach the device. Those who haven't received a notification could check the Settings menu for it. The update weighs in at 658MB. Users will want to be on Wi-Fi before downloading it.
