Michelle Obama Rap Album for Let's Move to Feature DMC, Doug E. Fresh, and Ashanti

First Lady Michelle Obama will be releasing a hip-hop album in promotion of her "Let's Move" campaign to fight childhood obesity, and it will feature notable collaborations.

Obama's album will go by the name Songs for a Healthier America.

Some of the featured performers on the album are hip-hop legends DMC and Doug E. Fresh, along with singer Ashanti, Monifah, and New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert, reported Sports Grid.

Mrs. Obama will not be laying down any rhymes or singing on the 19-track album.

Partnership For a Healthier America and Hip Hop Public Health will sponsor the album and help raise awareness for the cause.

Some of the tracks listed for the album so far are: "Veggie Luv," "Hip Hop FEET," "Hip Hop LEAN," " U R What You Eat," and "Pass the Rock."

The album is set to release Sept. 30, and will be distributed in schools and youth events.

"Let's Move! is ... dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. Combining comprehensive strategies with common sense, Let's Move! is about putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years. Giving parents helpful information and fostering environments that support healthy choices. Providing healthier foods in our schools. Ensuring that every family has access to healthy, affordable food. And, helping kids become more physically active," the Let's Move website says.
