During a Wednesday campaign event, former President Donald Trump asserted that the Arizona Supreme Court went "too far" after ruling that the state could enforce its law.

"Yeah, they did and I think it'll be straightened out and, as you know, it's all about state's rights and it will be straightened out," Trump said. "And I'm sure the governor and everybody else have got to bring it back into reason and that it will be taken care of I think."

Earlier this week, Trump received praise and criticism from pro-life advocates after he shared a video on Truth Social that outlined his campaign's position on abortion.

The former president suggested that it should be left to the states to make decisions about abortion laws. However, the Republican candidate criticized Democrats for holding what he described as a "radical" position on abortion.

Trump thanked the U.S. Supreme Court justices who authored the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision and reversed Roe v. Wade for "having the courage to allow this long-term, hard-fought battle to finally end."

He also called on states to "do the right thing" and expressed support for abortion in cases of rape and incest, which Arizona's law doesn't allow.
