In an X post on Monday, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), led by U.S. Evangelical leader the Rev. Johnnie Moore, president of the Congress of Christian Leaders, announced that it had “delivered over 95 million meals directly to Palestinians in Gaza.”

Moore recently detailed the organization’s collaboration with the U.S. and Israel in addition to expressing disappointment with the lack of support it has received from the United Nations in an interview with The Christian Post earlier this month.

“It’s not that they’re not supporting us,” he said. “It’s that they’re actively opposing us. They’re rallying people against us. They’re parroting Hamas talking points.”

Moore added that the U.N. never released a statement condemning the murder of 12 GHF staffers and the torture of others. He stressed that despite a frosty relationship with the supranational organization so far, “Our hand is out; we extend it” because “We want to do good together.”

The U.N. has so far refused to work with the GHF, alleging that the organization’s principles do not align with the humanitarian principles of “impartiality.” Moore dismissed this claim as “hogwash.”

The GHF characterized the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner of Human Rights’ unfounded claims that 615 people had been killed in the vicinity of GHF food distribution sites between May 26 and July 7, in addition to 183 deaths claimed to have occurred along the routes of aid convoys, as “false and misleading.”

“Most deadly attacks on aid sites have been linked to U.N. convoys,” Moore asserted.

“Ultimately, the solution is more aid. If the U.N. and other humanitarian groups would collaborate with us, we could end or significantly reduce these violent incidents.”

The GHF defines its mission as to partner “with local communities and international stakeholders to meet urgent needs and restore dignity to everyday life” and ensure the delivery of “secure, large-scale humanitarian aid to Gaza’s civilian population.”

GHF provides “pre-packaged rations, hygiene kits, and medical supplies.”
