Detroit Pistons vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Preview: Eight-Ranked Pistons Seeking Third Victory Over Conference-Leading Cavaliers

The eighth-seeded Detroit Pistons are looking to notch their third victory for the season against top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

The said game will be taking place on Wednesday, April 13th, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

Despite their standing in the Eastern Conference division, the Pistons hold two victories over the Cavaliers in the three times they have played each other this season. The first game took place last November 17th in Detroit, with the home team emerging victorious with a final score of 104-99.

Cavaliers' superstar LeBron James was the top scorer of the night, dropping 30 points, along with six rebounds and three assists, but was not able to do enough to lead his team to victory.

For the Pistons, it was center Andre Drummond who came up big, registering a double double with 25 points, and 18 rebounds, shooting 10 out of 15 from the field, through 39 minutes of playing time.

The Cavaliers were able to bounce back in their second game last January 29th in Detroit, as they edged the home team with a final score of 114-106. Cleveland's victory was a result of the combined efforts of point guard Kyrie Irving, and forward Kevin Love.

Irving ended the night with 28 points, four rebounds and two assists, shooting 11 out of 19 from the field, through 32 minutes of playing time.

Love, on the other hand, scored 29 points, along with six rebounds and three assists, shooting 9 out of 19 from the field, through 37 minutes of playing time.

Detroit, however, came back with a vengeance in their third game last February 22nd in Cleveland, winning with a final score of 96-88.

It was point guard Reggie Jackson who contributed the most significant numbers, scoring 23 points, along with three rebounds, four assists, and three steals, shooting 9 out of 17 from the field, through 32 minutes of playing time.

The Cavaliers currently hold a record of 57-24, while the Pistons banner a win-loss slate of 43-38.
