HTC One M9 Specs, Rumors, Release Date: New Android Flagship Will Turn Heads at MWC 2015

As we draw closer to the Mobile World Congress event next month, more reports surface about the rumored handsets that are expected to make their respective debuts in the press event. The HTC One M9, one of the most-awaited devices at MWC in Barcelona, has now been confirmed by its manufacturer to make an appearance in the said event.

According to a report by PC Advisor U.K., the Android-powered smartphone will be announced on March 3 on the event's third day.

Earlier today, HTC also released an invitation image that says "let them stare," which probably points to another gorgeous design from the Taiwanese manufacturer.

For the last several years, the Taiwan-based company's flagship lineup has been among the most stylish and premium-designed handsets in the market. Unfortunately, its last two flagships both have one major letdown – the camera.

Fortunately, the HTC One M9 may be getting a regular camera and not a 4MP UltraPixel sensor. Looking at the phone maker's previous Desire handsets, it may be safe to say that the next One M9 will have at least a 5MP front camera

Other rumored specs of the device include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 3GB RAM, but only a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display. Whether HTC favors a longer battery rather than a crisper screen resolution is still unknown, so fans will just have to find out for themselves.

In previous reports by GSM Arena, the device may be released to the market in the next few months. Last year, the One M8 become immediately available in some stores in London and New York – right after its announcement event.
