'Legends of Tomorrow' News: What 'Legends of Tomorrow' Has to Offer

The "Legends of Tomorrow" is coming soon, and fans wonder what this group of characters has to offer since there are already a lot of TV series about superheroes.

According to Rolling Stone, viewers will be seeing different eras in the new series, since Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) will travel through time to find a period where Vandal Savage, the show's main villain, is weak. "Legends of Tomorrow" is much different from "Arrow" or "The Flash" since the heroes, and even villains, traverse through time, unlike with the latter shows that are only focused on saving the current day Star City and Central City, respectively.

Of course, the new TV series boasts an all-star cast with several big name stars playing the heroes and villains in the group. There's Brandon Routh as The Atom, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Falk Hentschel as Hawkman, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, and Wenthworth Miller as Captain Cold.

Since the show will incorporate a lot of DC Comics stories, fans will also have the chance to see other DC characters making an appearance on the show. The website said that Stephanie Corneliussen is confirmed to appear as guest star, as well as Jewel Staite. Corneliussen is said to portray the character Valentina Vostok, while the former "Firefly" actress will appear later in the season as an inventor.

In other news, Victor Garber, the actor who plays the other half of Firestorm, recently had a chat with Comic Book Resources and shared the difference between playing the same role on "The Flash" and on "Legends of Tomorrow." "It's different people, different dynamics, different crew. So yes, it's different," Garber said. However, he claims that it is "different," but in a good way. "Fortunately, we all like each other. And so it's a new show, so there's all of this excitement. There's all of this hype about it. That provides another element," he said.

"Legends of Tomorrow" will premiere this Thursday, Jan. 21, on The CW.
