'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 12 Spoilers: Barry Not Quick Enough to Save Iris

In the upcoming episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) will try to save Iris (Candice Patton) from a flying shard of glass, but Iris still ends up getting hurt.

According to the International Business Times, Iris is worried that Wally is still racing, and is getting more concerned about his reckless behavior. It seems that she will go to where Wally is racing, which is probably to convince him to stop, but something bad happens at the site.

In the sneak peek of the next episode, which is titled "Fast Lane," Wally's drag race will be attacked, but it is not confirmed whether it will be by Zoom (Tony Todd) or Tar Pit (Marco Grazzini). A shard of glass goes flying toward Iris, and unfortunately, Barry won't be fast enough to stop it from hitting her.

Meanwhile, viewers also saw the return of Zoom in episode 12. He and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) are plotting to get The Flash's speed, and Harrison has been working on a formula to make Barry faster, so Zoom can steal his powers. Fans wonder if the two will eventually succeed in their plan, since it only means that Harrison will have to betray the rest of the group.

Spoilers Guide posted a synopsis of the next "The Flash" episode, and it reads, "Barry teams up with Wells to figure out a way to close the breaches, but they are distracted by a meta-human nicknamed Tar Pit who can transform into liquid asphalt. Iris is concerned for Wally's safety after she finds out about his drag racing hobby. When he refuses to stop she makes a bold move that puts her in danger."

"The Flash" season 2 episode 12 was directed by Rachel Talalay and the story was written by Brooke Eikmeier.

Watch the next episode of "The Flash" next Tuesday, Feb. 2, on The CW network.
