"Ms. Charlotte Bryant Hanks has decided to join us," the actor, 35, told People. "She's as happy and healthy as we are overjoyed and tired."

It appears that the girl's grandfather, Tom Hanks, will now have his hands full. In a previous interview, Colin admitted that his father was smitten with Olivia.

"They cannot wait to just dote on this kid with every single fiber of their being," Hanks joked after the birth of Olivia. "My wife and I are more than happy to give them our baby and say, 'Here, watch her while we take a nap!'"

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were already spotted walking the town together in Malibu with Hanks holding Olivia in his arms. The rest of the family including his wife, son, and dog also tagged along.

Colin is one of two kids that Hanks shares with his ex-wife, Samantha Lewes. The couple divorced in 1987. Hanks married Rita Wilson in 1988; he shares two sons with her.

A number of users online admired Tom Hanks grandfathering skills.

"Love to see the little one with her arm over her grandpa's shoulder, completely comfortable and trusting, as she should be. Very sweet," one user wrote on the Daily Mail blog. Other users applauded Hanks for being so "down to earth."
