Charlotte Hornets vs. Miami Heat: Preview

The third-seeded Miami Heat is looking to improve their record and extend their winning streak against the number six-seeded Charlotte Hornets.

Both teams will be meeting for the fourth and final time this season on Thursday, March 17th at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The first time the Heat and the Hornets met this season was during opening night on October 28th.

In the said game, Miami was able to emerge victorious via a ten-point margin, with a final score of 104-94. In the said game, superstar point guard Dwyane Wade provided the night's heroics, piling in 20 points and five rebounds, through 29 minutes of playing time and 7 out of 16 shooting.

Big man Chris Bosh, who was in good health back then, contributed significant numbers ending the night with 21 points and ten rebounds, through 32 minutes of playing time. In the second game, however, the Hornets were able to bounce back with a score of 99-81.

During the December 9th contest at the Time Warner Cable Arena, guard Kemba Walker was one of the highest contributors, scoring 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals through 31 minutes of playing time and 8 out of 13 field goal shooting. Forward Marvin Williams also scored 18 points and four rebounds through almost 23 minutes of playing time and 7 out of 11 field goal shooting.

The rubber match between both teams happened on February 5th, once again with the Hornets hosting. It was the Heat, however, who emerged victorious with a narrow three-point margin, and a final tally of 98-95. Wade was once again the main contributor for Miami that night, scoring 22 points along with three rebounds, five assists, and two steals, through 29 minutes of playing time, shooting 11 out of 20 from the field.

Bosh also had major contributions, scoring 20 points, along with six rebounds and two assists, through 35 minutes of playing time and 9 out of 20 field goal shooting.

The Heat currently hold a win-loss slate of 39-28. The Hornets, on the other hand, hold a record of 38-29.
