Oklahoma Thunder vs. Houston Rockets Preview: Thunder Aiming to Keep Spot at Top Three Against Ninth-Seeded Rockets

The third-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to solidify their spot at the Western Conference as they take on the Houston Rockets, next.

The fourth game of the season between both teams will be held on Sunday, April 3rd, at the Toyota Center in Houston.

The first time the Thunder and Rockets faced each other was last November 2nd, in Houston. The home team was able to emerge victorious with a score of 110-105. In the said game, it was guard James Harden who put on an impressive performance, dropping 37 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals, shooting 12 out of 26 from the field, through 38 minutes of playing time.

Point guard Ty Lawson dropped significant numbers of his own through a double-double, as he scored 14 points, along with 11 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, shooting 6 out of 10 from the field, through 36 minutes of playing time.

The Thunder was able to bounce back in their second game last January 29th. The host team came out with the win, with a final score of 116-108. Point guard Russell Westbrook was the star of the night for Oklahoma, ending the game with a triple-double.

He scored 26 points, along with 10 rebounds, and 14 assists, through 37 minutes of playing time. Superstar franchise player Kevin Durant also made big contributions, ending the night with 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists, shooting 11 out of 18 from the field, through 39 minutes of playing time.

Oklahoma also came out with the victory in their third game last March 22nd, with a final score of 111-107. Westbrook once again ended the night with a triple-double, scoring 21 points, along with 12 rebounds, and 15 assists, shooting 7 out of 18 from the field, through 36 minutes of playing time.

Durant finished the game with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, through 36 minutes of playing time.

The Thunder currently banners a record of 53-23, while the Rockets hold a win-loss slate of 37-39.
