Ashton Kutcher Talks About Ex-Wife Demi Moore Cheating Rumors and Divorce Lessons, Praises Mila Kunis

"Two and a Half Men" alum Ashton Kutcher was recently given the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award. In his speech as he accepted it at the Ron Pearson Center in Iowa, he candidly addressed cheating rumors during his marriage with Demi Moore.

"I'm also probably the first person to get this award for character who had, like, his name splashed across every gossip magazine as an adulterer, like, five years ago," Kutcher said as quoted by People.

"Character comes when those magazines tear you apart for something you may or may not have done and you gotta go out and perform tomorrow — with everyone looking at you like you might be an adulterer," he went on to say.

There were rumors that Kutcher cheated on Moore, which led to the latter breaking off their marriage. The two got married in 2005, but split in 2011 with the divorce finalized 2013.

The cause of the split was believed to be Kutcher's infidelity although Moore never really spoke about it. Huffington Post said that she may have hinted it in a statement she released that time.

Kutcher said that the divorce actually helped him, calling it a "great fortune" because it made him realize its impact and the feeling of loss and love. "And I understood finally my parents' divorce in a whole different way," he said.

Kutcher also praised his wife Mila Kunis during his speech, saying that she "kicks my a— on character every day." He even shared a funny conversation they had the morning of the big day.

"I thought I was awesome because I got up early and helped with the kids before she woke up and I let her sleep a little bit," the actor said of Kunis.

"Then she's like, 'Well, now you're gonna act tired? I do it every day.' But it was a character moment, right? Because she's right," he went on to say.
