“Today all of America mourns the passing of former President George H.W. Bush. Our country has lost one of the greatest heroes of the 20th century,” said Floyd, senior pastor of Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas, and president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force.

“President Bush was a man of integrity and honor, whose devotion to country was only paralleled by his love for his family. Indeed, he raised an entire family that is the very exemplar of American values and virtue. My family and I are praying for President George W. Bush, Gov. Jeb Bush, and their brothers Neil and Marvin and sister Dorothy. May God grant them peace at this moment of hardship, and may He give them that unexplainable joy that comes from knowing their incredible father is now in His presence.”
